Photo Challenge

I ignore the world too often. I find its inhabitants a bit loud and overwhelming, so I'm pretty content to put on noise canceling headphones and pretend I'm by myself -- even though I rarely am. However, I do feel that despite my strong desire to be a hermit, I should engage more with the world around me. Just a little bit though -- let's not get crazy.

So, I've decided that I'm going to do a photo challenge.

My mom does photo challenges on her blog Away for the Weekend all the time (shameless family shout), and I love looking at them. She's a much better photographer than I am; I'm doing this only so that I force myself to pay attention to the life around me.

Anyway, I'll post one photo from the challenge to this blog per-week. I found a 52 week photo challenge online, and decided that I will (mostly) follow it. Since I'm starting late, and I'm particular about the topics lining up with the time of year (I really don't want to miss that "Joy, Peace, Hope" week), I'll be skipping to week 21 and starting there. I do what I want.

I like this challenge because its topics are fairly vague, which allows me to interpret them as I wish.

We'll see how it goes!
